Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye Whiskey is made with a 100% Canadian prairie rye mashed in Rocky Mountain water. It’s this combination that has made the distillery one of the biggest producers of rye in the world. In the fall of 2019, the distillery surprised rye fans by releasing a cask strength expression simply pulling uncut rye from their charred barrels.
Amber gold in color. Complex aromas of buttery caramel, rich vanilla, a hint of spice and wood. The taste is ultra-smooth with the sweetness from the caramel and toffee notes combining with the spiciness of rye and underlying wood befitting a liquid aged for 20 years. The finish is warm and lingering with hints of caramel, toffee and spice

Distillery Information
Alberta Distillers Ltd. has since grown into one of Canada’s premiere rye producers — despite the company’s growth, however, the distillery’s local roots are still evident today. Most of the rye grains used by Alberta Distillers is sourced from farmers in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, with the farmers still delivering the grains personally by truck.
